Flugelhorn Mute (Straight/Cup)
While playing flugelhorn in brass bands, Cookie realized the need for great flugelhorn mutes. These mutes are the results of several iterations and targeted revisions after use in rehearsals, performances, and competitions.

This is available in 4 options:
Straight Mute: The straight mute is quintessentially “flugelhorn-y” in sound and allows you play through the full dynamic range of the instrument.
Cup Mute: The cup mute blends well with trumpet and cornet cup mutes, still with a distinct flugelhorn quality to the sound.
The cup is adjustable, but not threaded.
If you remove the cup section, you are left with the straight mute.
The cup fits very snugly on the body and it’s difficult to switch between straight and cup quickly. If you need to switch during a piece, it’s recommended to buy two separate mutes rather than leave anything up to chance.
Combo Bundle: Get both versions for a discount over buying them individually!
Cup Section: If you previously bought a straight mute and just need a cup section, it is available as a standalone product.
As with all other CookieMutes, intonation was a priority when designing and testing these mutes - especially since it takes more steps to adjust the slide on a flugelhorn than a conventional trumpet.
